This instrument is the first cutaway guitar I built with Sylvan Wells and also my first multi-scale creation in his shop in Ormond Beach, FL. It marked the start of a deep exploration into an exciting and innovative side of lutherie.
What makes this guitar truly unique is its original design by Sylvan Wells. It was conceived as a large-bodied guitar with a shallower depth than a traditional Dreadnought, intentionally designed to prevent the low end from overwhelming its clarity—making it ideal for recording environments.
